Hidden Agenda is an interactive drama, crime thriller game developed by Supermassive Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment for the Playstation 4, with support for the PlayLink app. It has support for up to six players. It was released in 2017.
Plot[]
The game follows two protagonists; homicide detective Becky Marney and district attorney Felicity Graves through the investigation and eventual prosecution of 'The Trapper', a serial killer whose M/O is to leave traps at the crime scene designed to kill first responders.
Gameplay[]
Players will control two characters throughout the game, each of them witnessing a different side of the Trapper Investigation. Hidden Agenda features an evolution of the Butterfly Effect System from Supermassive Games' previous title Until Dawn. Depending on the player's choices, the majority of the characters in the story can all live or die based on what kind of decisions are made throughout the story. A seemingly insignificant choice could have dramatic consequences later on.
Hidden Agenda also implements Sony's Playlink, allowing up to four players to interact with the story from their mobile phones via the Playlink app. During story mode, PlayLink players will be able to vote on decisions, with majority vote deciding the outcome. In competitive mode, one or more players will be given a special objective called a 'Hidden Agenda' that will see them striving for a specific outcome that seems to involve sabotaging the lives of the characters to some degree.
